Joba Will Close if Mo is Injured
Joba Chamberlain would close if Mariano Rivera misses any significant portion of the season. Yankee Officials decided this yesterday. It is kind of ironic considering Mo only needed 11 pitches to get out of his one inning of work against the Pirates. Mariano has 482 career saves in his legendary career. Damaso Marte and Brian Bruney are expected to be the Yankees top choices for the set up role in the 8th inning. Reffering to Brian Bruney a Yankee Official said “Let’s see him handle the 8th inning first”.

Good News on MRIs for Cano and Marte
Damaso Marte and Robinson Cano had MRIs last week. Good news came back to the Yankees as Robinson is out untill Friday with shoulder bursitis. Damaso Marte is listed as day-to-day with inflamation in his shoulder.
