Yankees Win Against Buccos

The New York Yankees were coming in yesterday with a 4 game win streak. Can it continue? CC Sabathia making the start for the Yankees under the lights at George M. Steinbrnner Field. CC pitched great, struck out 7 in 4 innnings of 1 run ball. Mariono Rivera making his first Spring appearance pitched a perfect inning, striking out 2 batters. Now to the Big Thunder of the Yankees. Hideki Matsui hit a 2-run double in the 1st inning to put the Yankees up early. Then later he hit a 2-run homer in the 3rd. Melky Cabrera had a RBI double, Ramiro Pena had a RBI single, and Posada had a RBI single.

Yankees Host Phillies in Tampa

Joba CHamberlain and the New York Yankees will host the Phils at George M. Steinbrenner Field today at 1:15 ET. The Yankees are on a 3 game win streak coming into the game. The Phillies defeated the St.Louis Cardinals yesterday 2-1. They will send out Kyle Kendrick who is battling for the 5th Starter job in the Philadelphia rotation. All in all should be a good game if you get the chance to listen to it.

Yankees Entertain the Twins today

The Yankees will play the Minnesota Twins today at George M. Steinbrenner Field. The Yankees will throw out Andy Pettittte to face the young Twins. Jorge Posada will also be playing today. The Twins will start Glen Perkins. The Twins are a talented team coming into this game with lots of young talent at their disposal. The Yankees are coming off a 2 for 2 day in split games. Thing to remember it is still Spring Training.
