Yanks will be Fine without A-Rod

Okay incase you guys didn’t know we are the New York Yankees. We find a solution we are not weak. So here is my solution for the A-Rod problem. Put Xavier Nady at third he can play it he did a few times in Pittsburgh and with the Mets. Put Swisher in right field, he’s still a good player. Brett Gardner in center, he gives the line-up a good spark. Bat Tex fourth and Swish 3rd. Tex can clean up period. So don’t freak out they have a solution this just happens to be a very good one. Also A-Rod will be back in May so don’t freak out.

Yanks Go 2 for 2 in Games Today

HOU          1                                                       3           NYY

The Yankees split up today to take on the Astros and the Pirates. AJ Burnett highlited a split squad day by throwing 4 perfect innings against Houston and the Yanks got offensive production from Johnny Damon as he hit a homer in this game. Brett Gardner had 4 total bases with another fine game form the rookie.

NYY 13                               10 PIT

The Yankees also defeated the Pirates today in a contest at Pittsburgh’s Sring Training complex. This one had a little more action with a total of 23 runs being scored in this one. Nyjer Morgan led the game off for Pittsburgh with a solo homer off Phil Hughes, Morgan is a good up and coming player I enjoy watching him. Doumit, Salazar, and Jones also homered for the Bucs. For the Yankees Austin Jackson, a top prospect, hit a homer off of Bautista in the 6th inning. Montero also homerd for the Yanks. The Yankees had 8 hits but scored 13 runs and left 7 on base.

Yankees Split Squads for 2 Matchups Today

The New York Yankees will play the Astros and the Pirates today. I don’t know how they are planning to split up but AJ Burnett is expected to pitch in one of the games. He threw two shutout innings in his last game and that is showing some really early promise. Brett Gardner and Melky Cabrera are too close to call still. You can see the games here on MLB.tv.

Yankees Looking to Move Nady or Swisher

The Yankees are looking at possible options to trade Xavier Nady or Nick Swisher. Xavier Nady who was acquired from the Pittsburgh Pirates during the middle of last season, was penciled in to be the replacement for Bobby Abreu in Right Field. Nick Swisher who was acquired in November from the Chicago White Sox was supposed to be the replacement for Jason Giambi at First Base. Then New York signed Mark Tiexeira to play first. The Washington Nationals, Cincinatti Reds, and maybe even the San Francisco Giants have interest in 1 or both of these players. If they move both of these players it would open up the chance that Manny Ramirez may be wearing pinstripes in Spring Training.
