The Yankees defeated the Phillies easily today with a 20 hit attack. Brett Gardner had a triple and an RBI. Austin Jackson, Jose Molina, Nick Swisher, Xavier Nady, Kevin Cash, Ramiro Pena, and Shelley Duncan all collected RBI’s. Joba Chamberlain pitched 3 innings, fanned 3 hitters, allowed 2 hits, and walked 1 batter. Yanks will be Fine without A-Rod

Okay incase you guys didn’t know we are the New York Yankees. We find a solution we are not weak. So here is my solution for the A-Rod problem. Put Xavier Nady at third he can play it he did a few times in Pittsburgh and with the Mets. Put Swisher in right field, he’s still a good player. Brett Gardner in center, he gives the line-up a good spark. Bat Tex fourth and Swish 3rd. Tex can clean up period. So don’t freak out they have a solution this just happens to be a very good one. Also A-Rod will be back in May so don’t freak out.

Remember Pride, Power, Pinstripes

Nady, Bruney, and Cabrera File for Arbitration

Well 111 players filed for arbitration and 3
of them or players on the Yankees. For some who don’t know
what arbitration is, it is a court hearing the clubs point
out everything the player does wrong and the player has to
try to counter that with what he does right. Okay back to
these three guys. The only person I can see having a chance
at winning his case is Xavier Nady, he put up the best
numbers and played great in the second half of the season.
Melky Cabrera would have a better case if he played as well
this year as he has in previous years, for this case very
little chance. Brian Bruney probably won’t have that great of
a chance either he is a middle of the road reliver and puts
up okay stats so maybe he could get a little reward maybe a
million.

Projected Yankees Line-up

Here is what I thought some fans would like to see.

6. Xavier Nady/ Nick Swisher RF

7. Jorge Posada C

8. Robinson Cano 2B

9. Brett Gardner/ Melky Cabrera CF

Yankees Looking to Move Nady or Swisher

The Yankees are looking at possible options to trade Xavier Nady or Nick Swisher. Xavier Nady who was acquired from the Pittsburgh Pirates during the middle of last season, was penciled in to be the replacement for Bobby Abreu in Right Field. Nick Swisher who was acquired in November from the Chicago White Sox was supposed to be the replacement for Jason Giambi at First Base. Then New York signed Mark Tiexeira to play first. The Washington Nationals, Cincinatti Reds, and maybe even the San Francisco Giants have interest in 1 or both of these players. If they move both of these players it would open up the chance that Manny Ramirez may be wearing pinstripes in Spring Training.
